About 200 members of the House of Representatives have so far endorsed a motion seeking to institute impeachment proceedings against President Goodluck Jonathan, reports NewsDay.
The figure has exceeded the number required by the constitution to serve President Jonathan impeachment notice.
Samson Osagie, House minority whip, who disclosed the figure said there are over 20 impeachable offences against the President.
The constitution requires only one third of members of the National Assembly to serve the President impeachment motion.
The lawmakers are angry over Tuesday's invasion of the National Assembly by the police and security agents.
